Longer and thicker lashes are a common request among my female patients. Since the FDA approval for Latisse in 2009, there have been several other brands of products that work in a similar fashion to Latisse. Although they can provide similar results, they cost less but do not require a prescription. Care must be taken when using these over-the-counter products since they are not FDA approved and we do not know their inherent risks. Read more in today's New York Times.
